Death Cafe

Death Café – Online

Introduction

The online Death Café offers a welcoming and respectful space where people can come together to talk openly about death, dying, and the meaning of life. In many cultures, conversations about mortality are avoided or kept private, yet reflecting on death can often deepen our appreciation of life and what truly matters.

These gatherings provide an opportunity for honest conversation in a supportive environment. Participants are welcome to share experiences, ask questions, reflect, or simply listen. There is no agenda, teaching, or counselling — the intention is simply to create a space where conversations about death can happen naturally and with compassion.

Death Cafés are part of an international movement that aims to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives.

What to expect

Death Café conversations are informal and participant-led. People often explore topics such as personal experiences with loss, cultural perspectives on death, fears and hopes about dying, and how awareness of mortality can influence how we live.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the way that feels comfortable — whether speaking, listening, or quietly reflecting.
